I have been creating these forms for a few years now. They are a tool I use to express my thoughts and feelings in a relatable manner. By utilizing a lifelike abstract form I find that people make more direct assumptions about my work and are able to pull from their life experiences when looking at my art. I endeavor to capture my state of mind when I first come up with a piece, sketch it, and then paint it. It is therapeutic to have so much time spent on a single thought, allowing it to simmer and change before the piece is completed. Often as I write about a piece after painting it I have found new meaning or clarity in the time between conceiving the idea and finishing a painting.
